Abstract

The monographic volume „The novel and contemporaneity. The problem of the formation of the novel gender” signed by the critic and literary historian Nicolae Bileţchi refers to the research of the problem of the formation of the novel genre in the Bessarabian cultural space. In this revised and added edition, Nicolae Bileţchi studies the literary works of the most representative Bessarabian novelists (lon Druţă, Ion Constantin Ciobanu, Vladimir Beşleagă, Aureliu Busuioc, Nicolai Costenco, Ariadna Şalari, Nicolae Dabija, Nicolae Esinencu et al.) The respective volume was developed in the Literary Research and Bibliography Laboratory of the „Onisifor Ghibu” Library in Chisinau.
